Specialist Sensors

Specialist sensors include custom designs and sensors utilising specific sensing techniques other than non dispersive infrared or catalytic techniques. Custom sensors are confidential and specific to a particular customer. Other sensor techniques are part of our ongoing development programme and some sensor types are available via collaboration with development partners.  These sensors are used in applications that are not addressed by non dispersive infrared or catalytic sensors.

One example is a sensor for measuring dissolved oxygen: A robust, maintenance-free sensor producing a mV output signal related to the amount of dissolved oxygen in water based media. Measurement of dissolved oxygen is an improtant measure of water quality or process monitoring and a sensor that is easy to use and maintenance-free is a useful addition to our product range.
